2023’e kapatmaya sayılı günler kalmışken yılın ödül sezonunun fitili, 80. Altın Küre (Golden Globes) adaylarının açıklanmasıyla resmen ateşlendi. Kuruluşundan bu yana HPFA (Hollywood Yabancı Basın Birliği) tarafından düzenlense de yaşanan çeşitli skandalların ayyuka çıkmasıyla el değiştiren Altın Küre (Golden Globes) Ödülleri, bu sene ilk defa Dick Clark Productions ve Eldridge Industries iş birliğiyle dağıtılacak.

Barbie’nin dokuz adaylıkla (üç adaylık şarkı kategorisinden!) zirvede yer aldığı sinema kanadında şaşırtıcı olmayacak şekilde Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon ve Poor Things hemen arkasından geliyor. Succession ve The Bear ise Emmy’de olduğu gibi televizyon kanadına ağırlıklarını koymuşlar.

Bu senenin listesinde iki yeni kategori bizlere el sallıyor: 150 milyon dolar barajını aşmış, aynı zamanda sanatsal anlamda tatmin edici bulunan yapımların yer aldığı “Sinema ve Gişe Başarısı” ile televizyon programı formatında stand-up komediyi değerlendiren “En İyi Stand-Up Performansı”. Reyting kaygısı sonucu bu kategorilerin hayat bulduğunu söylemek mümkün.
