BAFTA’dan çeşitlilik sahibi, ezber bozan aday listesi
Britanya Sinema ve Televizyon Sanatları Akademisi tarafından 11 Nisan’da dağıtılacak olan 74. BAFTA Ödülleri’nin bol sürprizli aday listesi duyuruldu. Tıpkı Akademi ödülleri gibi, fazlasıyla beyaz olmakla eleştirilen BAFTA, bu sene oylama sisteminde değişikliğe gitmiş ve çeşitlilik sahibi bir liste ortaya çıkmış. 6 yönetmenden 4’ünü kadın sinemacılar, 24 oyunculuk adayından 16’sını beyaz olmayan yetenekler oluşturuyor.
Ödül sezonunda sıkça karşımıza çıkan Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm ve One Night in Miami gibi filmlerin yerinde yeller esmekte. Ayrıca sezonun güçlü performanslarını veren Viola Davis, Carey Mulligan, Gary Oldman, Olivia Colman ve Amanda Seyfried’in göz ardı edilmesi dikkat çekiyor. Altın Küre’nin En İyi Yardımcı Kadın Oyuncu kategorisine aday olmuş tüm oyuncuların yokluğuysa, belki de en ilginç olanı.
